A soundtrack is an important aspect of any T.V show. In reality, it can help to make or break a series.
Whether you love or loathe it,
Grey’s Anatomy has helped to launch more than a few careers, including singer Brandi Carlile’s, who was just another blimp on the music radar, before her song appeared on the show.

There’s no better way to begin this soundtrack than with the upbeat sounds of Peter, Bjorn and John. It’s hard to imagine the soundtrack providing another song as upbeat as this, but they do well with Jesus Jackson’s “Running with sunshine” and Robert Randolph’s “Ain’t nothing wrong with that”.
The soundtrack also continues to provide solid songs such as “A cold wind will blow through your door”, “breathe in, breathe out” and “Sun comes up”; all of which are melodically accessible and pleasant to the musical palate.

It should be noted that this soundtrack is quite different from the first and second Gray’s soundtrack. There are less of The Fray and Snow Patrol and more of The Bird and the Bee, and The Jealous Girlfriends. The whole album ebbs and flows with quirky songs that perfectly suit the show’s third season.

Without a doubt, the two best ballads are perhaps the slowest tracks, “A Cold Wind Will Blow through Your Door” by Bill Ricchini and “Falling or flying” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
A who’s who of established artists with Mat Kearney, Jesus Jackson, John Legend, and Gomez provide new tracks for this soundtrack, mixed with emerging uprising artists such as Paulo Nutini and Brandi Carlile, this is soundtrack that is a must-have if you’re a lover of all things Indie-influenced.

Tracks not to miss: “Running on sunshine”, “Falling or flying”, “Young Folks”, and “Something in the water”
I give it HHHH
