It’s been a long time since Cher released an album, and this comeback album works beautifully for her. Well aware of the changing times, and the different genres of music that are popular today, Cher released an album filled with throbbing dance beats.

Most people may ask dance music and Cher? But this actually works. In a sense it actually seems like Cher has gone back to the seventies, and her songs evoke the image of disco balls, sequined miniskirts, and writhing bodies.

Like all Cher’s albums the lyrics are strong, the beat is catchy and well suited for this time.Believe is the first song off the album, and was a hit when it first came out with its hypnotic dance beats.

Not only is there a dance theme to this album but latin music has been infringed into the whole album with songs like “The Power” and “Dov’e L’Amore” both interlaced with latin beats.

There are some weak tracks on this album, such as “taxi, taxi”, which, just basically gets on someone’s nerves. It also takes a little while to get used to the remix of we all sleep alone.

The outstanding tracks though are Believe, The Power, strong enough, and all or nothing.Cher’s attempt to position herself in the dance genre has worked beautifully, and it is definitely worth a listen.

Her vocals are as strong as ever, and while the genre of music has changed from pop to dance, her songs are still as well written, and it is still the same Cher only updated for our times.

I give this 3/5
