Bowling For Soup-A Hangover You Don't Deserve

I'm a huge fan of the talents that are Bowling For Soup. I have been since the first time I heard their tune "Girl all the bad guys want" and was completely hooked after "1985".Hailing from Texas, they are a comedy-influenced rock band, who have sold millions of records.Their last album to date was Great Burrito extortion case, from which their hit single "High School never ends"

Bowling for Soup hit the charts in 2004 with “1985” an almost-parody song about the 80’s that was very cleverly written and had children of the 80’s knowing exactly what the lyrics meant.
A punk band that use catchy songs to draw people into their music, this album is definitely memorable and well worth checking out.
The whole album is full of bounce, and upbeat which is surprising considering some of their lyrics. They seem to find a way to make even the most depressing songs upbeat.

It has to be said that some of their songs like ‘trucker hat’ are pure nonsense, but they still manage to make it catchy.
Some of the best songs on the album are the most catchiest, and probably have some of the lamest lyrics such as “Trucker Hat”, and “Asshole”.
Other that are better winners, and just stand out on the album are “Almost”, the ever-popular “1985”, “Ohio”, “My hometown” and “Really might be gone”.
The band are reminiscent of other bands like Blink 182 and with their comedic lyrics “Barenaked Ladies”.

Fitting 19 tracks (17 and 2 hidden tracks) this upbeat punk band is definitely worth keeping an eye on in the future.
As said before the lyrics are amusing, and Bowling for Soup don’t even pretend that they are a serious band. The lyrics alone will keep you laughing, such as on “Ohio” the lines “Pantera wants you back, The Bush twins want you back, come back to Texas”.
Music wise the guitars, bass, heavy drums and vocals all work very well together and Bowling for Soup play like a well-seasoned band. This album is essential for Bowling for soup fans, and anyone who loved the song “1985”.
