The Shades of Poison Trees is the fifth album by Dashboard Confessional, and have hit the ground running with the first single off the album, “Thick as Thieves”.

If the new single is any indication, lead singer Chris Cabbaba and Co. have returned to their roots, with a stripped down acoustic album.

“Thick as Thieves” is infectious, and shows that the maligned Dashboard Confessional can hold their own among the angst-ridden EMO bands.
